Your subconscious mind is very powerful and very much your friend. So much so that within your lifetime it may not have allowed you to totally feel the extent of your emotions around a particular experience. It can act somewhat like a thermostat on an electric kettle. Rather than allowing the water to continue to boil and cause the unit to break down it switches off the energy to it. Your subconscious can and will do this for you without your permission should it decide that the energy (emotional content) is simply too much for you to handle. So instead of experiencing the emotion to the full, instead it is "Bottled up" within you . Your subconscious is capable of not just repressing the emotion but the event as well.

Many people I have worked with have turned up with a list of events that they feel are the root cause of their issues, and an equally large list of experiences which they feel they have come to terms with and resolved. I can say with confidence if they had felt the true emotional content of everything on their lists, they would not be suffering as they do.

We will through the process of FREE ASSOCIATION go back over the years that have gone, through all those imponderable influences that have gone to make you into you. We will free bottled up emotions leading to a progressive release of your current symptoms.

Pure Hypnoanalysis is a process, this means it is ongoing even during the times between your visits and when your therapy is completed.

FREE ASSOCIATION is not about directing your thoughts but to allow them to go to whatever, wherever or whoever. Free Association is not about memory; it is about experiences and how those experiences impacted on you emotionally. When entering into Hypnoanalysis it is important you understand that you do not decide what you tell me, you have to tell me every thought and emotion that flows into your mind regardless of how trivial, shameful or painful. You will express your emotions exactly as you are feeling them. Bottled up emotions do not age with you. When you feel them you will feel them as they were at the time they were put away. The feelings are very real. Once freed these emotions will be outside of you which means they will be in your control rather than inside of you and outside of your control. No longer running around within you affecting the quality of your life.

During the process of analysis many personalities may come up who have been part of your life. We have no real interest in them. We are only interested in how your experiences involving them made you feel. Your feelings your emotions.

At the end of each session we will not be spending time dissecting whatever it is you may have revisited. We will not be having intellectual conversations about the why and wherefores. After all you have spent many years using your intellect trying to understand. All we want to happen through FREE ASSOCIATION is the emotional release. Once those bottled up emotions are outside of you the rest is history. A history that will become less personal and be less attached to you, enabling you to move on with your life and enjoy it to the full.

Clients have asked me but what if I am in hypnosis and I remember nothing. The reply is, it does not matter, it is not a memory test, simply relax, allow your mind to Free Associate and your close friend your subconscious will send a thought or a feeling through to you. It is also valuable to understand that your subconscious put away emotions to help and protect you, and on balance it will only release them and allow you to experience them again when it knows it is the right time for you to revisit them.
